Today I will be posting a few related facts, since I missed yesterday’s fact of the day. I also just really like polar bears, as you may have guess or may know.
Polar bears actually have black skin to help themselves absorb heat from the sun, which is then covered with their white fur to blend in with the environment. Polar bear’s paws are about 12 inches (31 centimeters) across and are slightly webbed to aid their swimming. Finally, polar bear’s fur is not actually white. Each individual shaft is pigment free (transparent) and has a hollow core.
